Maxim Khazanov is an architect with over two decades of experience in architecture, urban planning, and design innovation. Holds a Master’s degree from the Moscow Architectural Institute (MArchI, 2009) and a Master of Science in Advanced Architectural Design from Columbia University in New York (2012).
Began professional work at Mikhail Khazanov Architectural Studio (2004–2011), contributing to numerous competitions and realized projects including the Moscow Government House (2004–2007), the all-season ski complex “Snegzhcom” (2005–2008), and the Contemporary Art Center in Ekaterinburg (2008).
After graduating from Columbia, joined TPO “Reserve” in Moscow, participating in major urban-scale competitions and built projects. Key work includes the International Financial Center (1st Prize, 2014; in consortium with ARUP, MAXWAN A+U, JUURLINK+GELUK, PEGASUS, and GVA Sawyer) and the business center on Krasin Street (2013–2015).
Independently, as part of team G16A, created the “Garage” summer pop-up pavilion (2013).
Based in Israel since 2015, with involvement in large-scale residential and infrastructure developments: a beachfront apartment complex in Tel Aviv, a senior living facility in Holon (MYS Architects), and the Petah Tikva Central Bus Station (HQ Architects).
Led the R&D department at Flexijet Israel until 2021, focusing on precision measurement and digital workflows. In 2021, completed the design of the National Historical Museum in Moscow before returning to Israel.
Currently engaged in developing an integrated, all-in-one building design platform, alongside running an independent architectural studio.
